Bring back affordable Bachelorette’s!

You don’t have to spend a fortune to give your Bride the best girly weekend of her life! While we love unique and lavish beach parties and night clubs, it’s possible to throw an affordable bachelorette party without your girls breaking the bank in the process.

Whether you’re a Bride or a Maid Of Honor in charge of planning, we have you covered… read on for practical ideas and tips for greeting an unforgettable weekend.

Be free and open with your gal pals

Open the line of communication with your girls… Don’t be afraid to disclose that the Bride/ Maid Of Honor/ Bridesmaid is watching the dollar and you’re hoping to plan the best weekend on a budget. It’s always good to know in advance that the trip is going to be reasonably priced and not OTT expensive. Your crew will be grateful for your honesty!

Set A Budget – and stick to it

It’s worth spending some time on budgeting during the planning process – I know I know it’s dull – but this is going to help you create that unforgettable yet affordable Bachelorette party!

Since everyone is paying their way, you’ll want to make sure that they feel comfortable with the cost. The most important part of a bachelorette party is to celebrate your best gal before her big day.

Location

When choosing the perfect place for the Bachelorette, remember you don’t need to go on an extravagant trip far away.

Think about choosing somewhere nearby to where most of you live. Jumping in a car for an hour or two is great on the budget compared to flights to Vegas!

Don’t be afraid to ask family and friends… does any one have a family member with a lake house to host this celebration?

If you’re not lucky enough to find an aunt with a spare house, we highly suggest splitting an Airbnb with your girls. You’ll be able to spend time together in a more spacious room and it should be much cheaper than a hotel.

If you’re determined to take your gals out of town for the bachelorette party, make sure you look into deals or discounts. Sometimes, if you are going in the middle of the week instead of the weekend, you can find cheaper hotel stays or airplane tickets. Contact the accommodation directly and ask for their best price.

Decorations For An Affordable Bachelorette

Keep your decorations simple. If you (or any of the gals) like to get a little crafty, this is your chance to shine. You could make some of the decorations – banners, photo backdrop, balloon arches.  A great idea is to cover the walls of your party room with photos of the bride – as far back as you can go… We wanna see how she looked as a teenager! Your bride will be sure to love these personal touches.

If you’re bringing props and costumes for your bride – try getting second hand before heading to the store.

Affordable Bachelorette Eats: What to Serve Without Breaking the Bank

Affordable Bachelorette

We all know that heading out to restaurants is going to get expensive, so try to keep this to just one or two meals out.

The rest of the time you can divvy up the meals you know you’re going to have – so one person is in charge of breakfasts, one is on lunch etc. This includes desserts; get one of the girls to bake a cake.

It’s a great way to enjoy some amazing homemade foods and keep those credit cards tucked away.

Booze

Whilst there is likely to be some high drinks bills when you are out, don’t be afraid to put on the invitation that everyone needs to bring their own drinks (BYOB) for the Pregame. This way, everyone will have the drinks they want, and you won’t have to worry about taking out a mortgage just to cover the tab.

Activity Ideas for the perfect affordable Bachelorette

Some budget friendly activity ideas that can work as a one off night, or as part of a long weekend away…

  • Games night – everyone brings their favorite board game and a favorite snack. If you have a lot of games to play, you can make it an overall competition where you split your party into groups and compete with teams.
  • Movie night – have everyone bring their favorite movie snack, get in your pj’s and watch the bride’s favorite movie together.
  • Go for a hike – if you and your girls are fitness babes, going on a hike or bike ride is a great daytime activity. Find a pretty spot nearby, get in your sportswear and let’s have a break from drinking!
  • Karaoke night – you could rent or buy a karaoke machine and sing your little heart out all night with your friends.
  • Girls picnic – you can find a nearby beach or park and have a picnic. You and your girls can contribute to each part of the meal.
  • Murder mystery party – Working together to figure out the scene of the crime and the killer is a fun experience. Your friends will love it and it’s a great ice breaker to get the night started.
  • Craft session – Get creative together and plan a group crafting afternoon such as candle making, designing tee shirts, bracelet making, or something silly like a painting of the bride.

Affordable Bachelorette Party Games

Who says you have to spend a lot of money on bachelorette party games? Not on our watch! How about planning…

  • A scavenger hunt
  • Truth or dare
  • “How Well Do You Know The Bride?”
  • The Newlywed Game
  • Adult Pictionary
  • Download a bridal BINGO game

Consider One Group Activity

A group activity is a fantastic way to bond and make memories with your girls. Once you have your accommodation / travel/ food plans sorted you’ll know roughly how much cash you’ll have left over to do one big group activity.

Some group activities you can do that are affordable include:

  • Hiring a chef to host a cooking class
  • Take a boat ride/tour
  • Take a group yoga class
  • Pottery class
  • Art class
  • Cocktail making class
  • Flower arranging class
  • Candle making class

In Summary – How To Throw An Affordable Bachelorette Party

We hope this has given you some inspiration on how to throw an awesome Bachelorette without breaking the bank. Remember, a good time does not need to come with a huge price tag!

Don’t Miss the Next Big Story

Note: Below is the code that converts the related posts query loop into a carousel. Do not edit anything before: new Splide. After that, you can change the values to your liking. The breakpoints are included to match those in the post grid/carousel block so you can alter the number of posts shown by device size.
Do not use the Columns, Row Gap, or Column Gap options in the query card settings – they either won’t work, or will break the layout.
Below are some options you might want to change, or just leave it as is 😉

‘gap’ is the space between posts.
perPage is the number of posts to display per breakpoint.
autoplay is the equivalent of the post grid/carousel block Carousel Auto Play setting.
interval is the equivalent of the post grid/carousel block Autoplay Speed setting.
speed is the equivalent of the post grid/carousel block Carousel Slide Transition Speed setting.

You can add extra options if you wish. More details here: https://splidejs.com/guides/options

You can delete this note once you understand how to adjust the the carousel, but do not delete the code below. The note and the code do not show on the front end.
